hey! so excited to be joining y'all c:

so, i was thinking, maybe Thalia could've done her whole heroic sacrifice thing while they were travelling to windclan and got turned into a tree. but then the gods turned her back into a cat and she shows up in windclan all like "SURPRISE B***HES BET YOU THOUGH YOU'D SEEN THE LAST OF ME"

just to kind of explain her absence (plus i think it's pretty important to her character that she'd do that sacrifice her friends. and tree jokes.)

Thalia had been shocked when she woke up one morning to discover she was no longer a large pine. A tree? Really? had been her first coherent thought, accompanied by an eye roll to the heavens - not that she'd had anything against being part of a forest, but being a cat was generally more interesting.

The longer she stood there, the quicker the memory of what being a tree was like faded, like a dream (a normal one, not the crazy godly ones that usually haunted her) evaporating in the morning. She didn't have a clue how much time had passed and any trace of the damn rouges who had attacked them was gone. Her friends, too, had vanished.

They'd better not gotten themselves killed, I didn't stay behind to hold back those rouges for nothing, she thought, with another eye roll.

She managed to pick out the direction they'd been heading, and set off. "I'll find them," she promised the wind that whistled through her spiky black fur, "if I have to search the whole bloody planet."

When a patrol of npc Windclanners had shown up and escorted her to the camp she was so relieved she almost thanked the gods, even though she doubted they had anything to do with it. Helpful? Check. Makes sense? Check. Yep, definitely not the gods.

She paced back and forth outside the caves and waited for the Olympians to show up. Maybe she could pretend to be a ghost or something, get a good laugh.

Thalia grinned, touching noses with her old friend. Gods, she was glad to see him.

"Betcha thought you'd seen the last of me," she said teasingly, "but it'll take more than just turning into a tree to keep me down." She stepped back, blinking at Luke. He'd grown - hopefully he wouldn't get bigger than her, that'd really piss her off.

"Where's everyone else got to? I want to remind them how I saved all your asses."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial;]Eleven-year-old Thalia marched over to Hazel and Leo, proudly presenting her two friends with a present each. They were wrapped in newspaper that was starting to tear around the corners and she'd folded an A4 piece of paper over to make the cards, but she'd heard somewhere that it was the thought that counted, and she was proud to have done it all on her own. She had even brought the presents with her own pocket money.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 350px; font-size: 10px; text-allign: justify;]Got so much muse right now for Windclan's newest snarky goth olympian. She needs a mentor, and she's open for friendships, crushes, whatever. Just fire away. c:

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial;]Wow, Thalia sure was attracting a lot of attention. She walked up to Hazel first, giving her an friendly lick between the ears. "Hey, b***h," she purred (it was a term of affection for Thalia, one that she reserved only for her family).

"So these are your new friends, huh?" the black she-cat added, turning to the others. She didn't even bother trying to remember all their names, but she politely returned their greetings.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; margin-top: -10px; font-family: arial;]Thalia was drawn over by the sound of swearing - she wasn't particularly repulsed, as she could have a pretty foul mouth herself at times, just curious. She was pretty bored - Leopaw and Hazel were busy with their duties, and she had no idea where the others had got to. Why not get to know this cat - a she-cat who swore like that had to be pretty cool.

"I'm with you, buddy," she said, pulling an exaggerated yawn and sitting down beside the she-cat.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]Thread with Thalia? She could get frustrated with her currently npc mentor for going too easy on her because she's new. Then she could run into Lilyfern which ends in badass she-cat sparring. Or something, idk.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]"Sure we'll come," Thalia said, "Won't we, Hazel?" It would be nice to get out a bit, do something that wasn't training or hunting. Besides, it was pretty funny watching her adoptive sister's lack of comfort and quiet disapproval of all the swearing.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]Haha, same, I really love school too (not so much all the work, mostly all the kids and teachers and having the opportunity to learn)! Hope September comes quickly and you have lots of fun!!

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;]Thalia walked up to the small group, politely but firmly forcing herself into a place beside Hazel (she could be very possessive of her adopted family, especially since she'd almost lost them when the rouges had attacked them). Nice, a movie! The she-cat had heard of them, but never actually gotten the time and an opportunity to sit down and watch one.

She explained to the kit, "They're twoleg things like... like watching stories instead of listening to them," (maybe that hadn't been the best of explanations, but whatever), "Now shut up, it's starting."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;][size=8]Thalia was pretty pissed off. Sure, she had plenty of things to be thankful for - her adoptive family were all okay, and she was back with them, they were safe in WindClan, she wasn't stuck being a tree anymore (long story); but she couldn't help feeling a bit under appreciated.

She was used to looking after herself and she'd saved all of her family's life when they were travelling here, but her npc mentor thought she was an idiot just because she was new to the clan. While Leopaw and Hazel were off doing their important jobs, she was gathering moss and 'learning' basic hunting crouches. It wasn't something that the young cat let bother her too much - she definitely wasn't one to go angsting around all the time - but earlier that day her mentor had scolded her for being 'too impatient' and she'd completely gone off her rocket at him and stormed off. She'd like to say she was sorry, but that'd be a lie.

She didn't want to go back to him, or hunt, or practice the mind-numbingly basic moves he'd given her. or do anything that would give him satisfaction. The black-furred she-cat had resigned herself to pacing outside the caves, occasionally pausing to take an angry swipe at the ground with her claws.
